Online Resources

A LITTLE VIDEO I could watch every day with benefit. Amazing. Check this link and listen to, “A Good Day” With Brother David Steindl-Rast http://youtu.be/3Zl9puhwiyw

DAILY DEVOTION RESOURCES: In a very secular world in which spirituality seems to be rarely part of our conversation, consider daily devotions. The ELCIC publishes Eternity for Today which is available in our church narthex. You may also consider a fine online resource available through Luther Seminary, St Paul, Minnesota.  Their “God Pause” email devotions are short, meaningful reflections on the following Sunday’s lessons. You can find them on the website or have the daily devotion delivered by email to your PC or mobile phone. the link is  http://www.luthersem.edu/godpause/daily_view.aspx

INTERESTED IN DEEPER REFLECTIONS: If you are interested in more substantial reflections on spirtual and theological topics have a look at David Lose’ blog: In the Meantime. Lose is professor in preaching as well as the  academic dean at Luther Seminary, St. Paul. He is an author, a sought after speaker and his blog is quite quite educational, inspiring, and engaging. Have a look at the link: http://www.davidlose.net/

INTERESTED IN HEARING AUDIO OR VIDEO MESSAGES BY EXCELLENT PROTESTANT PREACHERS:  Check out Day1. Here is how Day1 describes the resources their site provides: Day1 is the voice of the mainline Protestant churches, presenting outstanding preachers from the mainline Protestant denominations, including the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), United Church of Christ, United Methodist Church, and others. Our website features an extensive library of lectionary-based sermons in text and audio, video resources, and helpful blog posts, along with other helpful information for lay persons and pastors.
